Looking For a Professional Logo? Try the Forums!
Most of us will have to look for a graphic designer when we need a logo either for our sites or other promotional products. The first place we will think of is the Elance.com or GetAFreelancer.com. Today, we will take a look at what can the forums offer us for logo designing.
The contest sub-forum in DigitalPoint has always been a busy place for designers and logo seekers. Most of the contests ranged between $25 to $100 for a logo of website banner. I have found some pretty neat logos designed for several contests there. One advantage of having your logo contest in such forums is that you do not have to pay in advanced for the designers to show you the draft and you can get to see many interesting designs posted from all over the world
You can take a look at this $60 logo contest and see how many interesting graphics are generated. At the end of the day, the contest starter will only need to pay the designer whose work has been selected.
You can also try out other major forums such as NamePros and SitePoint (listing fees required) to engage more freelance designers.
