How To Make Money Online – 7th Post
We will be focusing on operating an online store in this post. You do not need too much capital to create and run an online store nowadays. With Amazon and Cafepress hitting the front lines, we are now open to more choices which are also free
First, let us take a look at Cafepress. If you are talented in art such as creating eye catching or humor graphics, you might be able to earn some spare cash by operating a basic store through Cafepress. They allow you to print your design onto standard items like T-shirts, mug, cap and clock etc. Refer to the following screen shot for an example.
What is great about this business model is that you will not need to worry about the inventory. Cafepress will only print and deliver upon request. You only need to worry about your design and attract customers.
You will earn profit by charging your customers a price higher than the base value. The base value is fixed by Cafepress and you will have the freedom to list the items and charge your preference rate
Amazon also allows you to create an online store. However, there are limits as well. You can only list products that are listed in Amazon. Despite of this, aStore provides a lot of flexible for you to fine tune the store and create a professional store appearance that captures the attention of most customers.
The profit model for Amazon aStore is that you can earn a small commission of starting 4 to 5% of the total sales (depending on your total referral status).
Hope that you have gained some understanding with both the above online shop model and hopefully you can create your own soon
PS: I am currently in progress of creating a simple store for KCHut. Stay tuned
