Forum Secrets Revealed - The Guide To Forum Success
I always thought that I know quite a lot about forum management and monetization until I read the book, Forum Secrets Revealed, written by Ryan. I am amazed at the huge amount of useful content in this book and how it actually goes down to illustrate the whole process of setting and running a forum, monetizing and maintaining it. With nearly 400 pages of great content, this is definitely the only book anyone would need for running and earning money from forums.
Think, plan and research
Volume one of the book is mostly targeted on those that have yet to set up their own forums but is thinking to do so. By reading the first volume, it will save you time to do your own research. Ryan has covered most, if not, all the possible stuff (from hosting to design) that one needs to know prior to setting up of a forum.
I am also surprised by a chapter that highlights many useful methods on how to market the forum. I wish I have knew these earlier!
Here comes the difficult part of forum management
Every forum administrators would agree with me that setting up a forum is easy but running and maintaining it is not. Ryan has helped the readers by putting in tons of powerful techniques on how can we, the forum administrators, do to increase the overall interactivity and activity.
Frankly, I find the listed methods very effective as I have tried several of them in my online gaming forum some time ago.
Here is where the money comes
Monetizing is another headache for the forum administrators when it comes to select a correct channel. Ryan has managed to cure the pain by listing down all possible ways to earn money from a forum. He not only writes about how to make advertising happens but also how to keep your advertisers for a long term profit. This is a very important piece of tips for me as well

With all those passive cash flow coming in, Ryan closes this book by sharing the strategies to protect your forum data so that the community can exist eternally. If you think that complete forum backup is purely done by pressing the backup button in the web hosting account, you would really need this book for more valuable information
Overall, this is a great series of books that will definitely save future forum owners a lot of time when creating and running their dream niche forums. Great job, Ryan
