The only 5 steps you need for blog promotion
I have been reading articles and blogs posts recently for some ideas on how to promote a blog especially for beginners and have summarize into 5 key points as follows:
1. Prepare for the launch
A lot of time bloggers just push out their newly designed blogs to the world with only one or two posts in their blogs. This is a bad start especially if the first few posts are the conventional welcome messages.. In my opinion, new bloggers should write at least 5 quality posts before they begin the advertisement. This will increase the readability value of the new blog.
2. Ping them!
Pinging your blog means to inform other sites (blog directories etc) about your newly published content so that they can perform an update on their sites. A good tool I always used is Pingoat 
3. Join MyBlogLog
MyBlogLog is a great community to relate between bloggers especially people with the same interest. While you are at it, look for communities that align with your blog nature and join up to network. By visiting other people’s blog, they may return to pay you a visit. This works greatly if you also have a cool avatar 
4. Don’t just visit and go!

By posting a valuable comment about other people’s post, your chance of getting a visit increases by at least 50%. However, skip your comments if its going to be a useless one liner..
5. Write Headlines that you will click!
I cannot stress enough for the importance of headlines. As your RSS feeds are published everywhere in the Net, it is important to catch the people’s attention. User will only click on links that are either: What they are looking for or What will they benefit by following a link. You may want to refer to my creating Headlines that Work post for more details.
