Are your inbound links relevant?
It seems that Google is working harder nowadays to crack down inbound links manipulation. Webmasters should always go for link bait or only purchase text links that are relevant.
To date, the following are some of the links that are considered relevant based on my experience:
- Links from articles body / author’s box
- Natural outgoing links embedded in a content body. For example, blog or forum posts.
- Press release
Some of the irrelevant links are from Word Cloud sites and Link Farm pages. These are places where Webmasters should avoid at all costs.
